Singularity-Free Cylindrical Cosmological Model
A cylindrically symmetric perfect fluid spacetime with no curvature singularity is shown. The equation of state for the perfect fluid is that of a stiff fluid. The metric is diagonal and non-separable in comoving coordinates for the fluid. It is proven that the spacetime is geodesically complete and globally hyperbolic. PACS 04.20.Jb, 98.80.Hw
متن کاملCosmological Structure Formation Creates Large-scale Magnetic Fields
This paper examines the generation of seed magnetic fields due to the growth of cosmological perturbations. In the radiation era, different rates of scattering from photons induce local differences in the ion and electron density and velocity fields. The currents due to the relative motion of these fluids generate magnetic fields on all cosmological scales, peaking at a magnitude of O(10 G) at ...
متن کاملCosmological magnetic fields
Magnetic fields are observed not only in stars, but in galaxies, clusters, and even high redshift Lyman-α systems. In principle, these fields could play an important role in structure formation and also affect the anisotropies in the cosmic microwave background radiation (CMB). The study of cosmological magnetic fields aims not only to quantify these effects on large-scale structure and the CMB...
متن کاملCosmological Magnetic Fields
We discuss the evolution of cosmological magnetic fields from the early universe to the present. We review different scenarios for magnetogenesis in the early universe and follow the subsequent evolution of these fields as the universe recombines. We then focus on the role primordial fields play after recombination in the seeding of stellar and galactic fields and the formation of structure. Co...
